Hello!
I’m Debra Tracey

Debra Tracey is an artist and author who lives and works on the beautiful Isle of Man. Stockport born, she lived in Manchester then Cheshire before relocating across the Irish Sea. After graduating from MMU (Illustration, Creative Writing & Animation) Debra entered the world of Adult Education, where she developed her passion for inclusivity and creativity in the community. During this time she also wrote articles and children’s stories which were published in several magazines. Moving to Bollington in Cheshire in 2010, Debra became runner up in several competitions for local radio, with one of her stories being broadcast as a short radio play. Winning the 1st prize to write the Bollington Movie script was a highlight, plus contributing to the Barnardos and UCLAN Stories 2 Connect project. Since moving to the Island, Debra has had poems included in several local publications, including an eco art and poetry project along the Silverburn Art Trail, supported by Arts Council IOM and the Creative Network IOM. Debra teaches art and creative writing from her studio and loves nothing more than incorporating the both. A recent example being a project commissioned by MSV Housing, to deliver a poetry workshop in a school with the poems created being incorporated in a glass mosaic to be installed at a supported housing scheme in Bolton. She is currently working on a children’s picture book and a pamphlet of poems.
